A system for supplying rooms with hot air by means of a hot air reservoir in which a heating device is provided and which is connected with the rooms via air ducts, with valves or the like being arranged in the air ducts, characterized in that the vertical flue gas outlet (31) of the heating device (20), which exits from the uppermost region of the likewise vertical combustion chamber (22), has a diameter which is equal to at least half of the horizontal section of the combustion chamber (22), in that an approximately horizontally positioned after-burning chamber (35) is connected to the flue gas outlet (31) of the combusion chamber (22) and has an additonal burner (38) inserted into it, and in that the valves (50, 51, 52, 53) are formed by groups of laminae (63), which are arranged at least approximately horizontally and in parallel with each other and which are provided on at least one side with movable flaps (65), a curtain (66), a cover (69) or the like.
