Abstract

Component for steel radiators which is produced by welding together two adjacent steel plates (1; 1'; 1"), each of which comprises in the area of each front end a boss (3), between the bosses at least two parallel channels (4; 4'; 4") and between each two channels a longitudinal bead (5), which is welded to the adjacent longitudinal bead of the other steel plate, characterised in that one external side wall (7'), which is formed by a part of the external channels (4'), of the steel plate (1') is higher, overlaps a lower side wall (7"), which is formed by a part of the external channels (4"), of the other steel plate (1"), and is directly welded at its edge (6') to the adjacent external channel (4") of the other steel plate (1"), thus forming a weld seam (9).
