Abstract

The printing press has an auxiliary stack carrier, moveable between ready and working positions, with carrier bars connected via hinge joints (27,28). The carrier bars (26) have extensions (32,33) projecting over the hinges. One extension (33) facing against insertion direction (21), engages below the extension (32) facing in insertion direction, of a second carrier bar following-on in insertion direction. The carrier bars are pushed through a guide, which holds the first extension in contact with the second extension. The guide forms a support for the auxiliary stack carrier, moving in a convex rising guide track, and lifted by a common lifting device.
