Abstract

A magnetic release or trip includes a magnetic circuit fed by a permanent magnet (11) and containing a U-shaped yoke (9) and an armature (5) bridging the ends of the 'U' of the yoke in the closed state of the magnetic circuit; also included is a pre-tensioned spring element for biasing the armature against the force of the permanent magnet. At least one coil-spring (19,20) of the spring element (18) has a winding axis aligned in the extension of the tilting edge (23) for hinge-mounting of the armature and including two limbs (24,25), the first (24) being held stationary and the second (25) being mounted in a retainer of the armature (5).
