Abstract

A support system for a floor mounted shower tray has a grid assembled from strips of hard plastic foam covered by a toughened plastic sheet into which is cut a hole for the drain. The strips are cut from a foam sheet coated on both sides with fibre reinforcing layers and are shaped to fit over each other to form a self supporting grid. The top of the grid is shaped to provide a drainage slope towards the drain hole, with the outer strips having a horizontal surface. Plastic inserts and a drain adaptor complete the drain hole assembly.
