Abstract

1. A label printer (1) including a magazine (2) for a supply tape or carrier tape (3) with labels (4), a printing means (5) with abutment (6) and a feeding device (8) serving for the supply tape (3) with the labels (4) and having a drive (7), during feed said device moving the supply tape (3) between the printing means (5) and abutment (6), the magazine (2) for labels (4) being insertable as a cassette (11) into the printer (1) so as to be detachable and replaceable and said detachable cassette (11) having the abutment (6), characterized in that the feeding device (8) is part of the detachable cassette (11), that provision is made for parallel pin-feed bands (13) for feeding the supply tape (3) having lateral feed holes (12), and the supply tape (3) is fixable in each case at the bottom strand (13a) and at the top strand (13b) of the pinfeed bands (13) for its conveyance and at the transition from the one to the other strands is guided around the abutment, and that at the transition from the bottom strands (13a) to the abutment (6) there is a curved guiding surface which simultaneously presses the supply tape (3) outwardly in a springy manner as a tensioning element (16) therefor.
