Abstract

An assembly bends lengths of rod-like solid material or pipes to a pre-defined shape. The assembly has a feed unit (6) which feeds the rod-shaped material along the z-axis. The assembly further has a supporting clamp (1) for a shaping tool (3) and a guide (10) surrounding the work-piece (1.2). The guide (10) is separated from the tool (3) or clamp (1) by a given distance (A). The guide (10) position is adjustable along the z-axis. The tool (3) may slide along and rotate around the clamp (1).
