Abstract

A gas tank with protection system for underground installation is described in which the protection system comprises a sack (11) that contains the tank (10) and gas permeable material (12) arranged in such a manner as to constitute a layer around the tank. The sack (11) can be material impermeable to water and gas or a material with . micrometric pores. The tank with its protection system is a product which, although offers excellent safety guarantees as far as ground pollution is concerned, is easy and cheap to produce and install. A method of assembling the tank and its protection system is also described. <IMAGE>
