Abstract

A linear drive has a drive housing (2) accommodating at least one drive part (7) which is coupled in its movement to a guide carriage (14). The load to be moved is received on to a linear guide (23) which is driven linearly on a single guide-rail (24) and is arranged externally on the drive housing (2). A measurement path unit (33) is seated in a closed receiving channel (34) so that the guide rail (24) directly forms the housing for the measurement path unit and that the actuation unit (42) is located directly on board the guide carriage (14).
