Abstract

1. Valve plate for compressors, especially for reciprocating piston compressors, which has the following features : a) the valve plate is arranged between the piston cylinder and the cylinder head of the compressor ; b) the valve plate contains bores for suction and pressure valves ; c) at least one pressure valve lamina is provided on the cylinder head side of the valve plate for the control of at least one pressure valve bore ; d) on the side of the valve plate that faces the cylinder head there is arranged concentrically around the pressure valve bores a first recess in the form of an annular groove ; e) the annular land which is left between the first recess and the pressure valve bore is in the form of a valve seat for the pressure valve lamina ; f) the pressure valve lamina is secured at both its ends to the valve plate in such a manner that the pressure valve lamina is not lifted from the valve plate in places during a stroke movement ; characterised by the following features : g) there is provided at least a second recess (8) on the side of the valve plate (1) that faces the cylinder head, which second recess is connected to the first recess (6) ; h) the second recess (8) is arranged at least in the region between the first recess (6) and the means (4, 5) for securing the pressure valve lamina (3) ; i) the first recess (6) has an outside diameter which corresponds to the width of the pressure valve lamina (3).
