Abstract

Casting chamber comprises a casting chamber casing (2) and heating rods (5) distributed along the periphery of the casting chamber (1) for preheating the chamber. The rods are inserted into the casting chamber casing from the front side and extend in the longitudinal direction of the chamber. <??>Preferred Features: The heating rods are controlled individually or in groups to adjust the heating efficiency. The rods are controlled via a regulating cycle. Temperature sensors (11) are provided to acquire the temperature of the chamber at points in the peripheral direction and the regulating cycle regulates the efficiency of the rods depending on the temperatures measured.
