Abstract

1. An electric protective circuit breaker (1) comprising mobile switching components (12), an insulating housing (2) consisting of an upper component (3) and a lower component (4), a tripping defice for automatic disconnection by the release of interlocking mobile switching components (12), and a trigger element which is arranged on the upper component (3) of the insulating housing (2), which can be manually moved against the force of an energy store (42), and which cooperates with the tripping device, characterised by the following features : a first energy store (31) that biasses the trigger element in the trigger direction ; and an additional, more powerful energy store (42) that maintains the trigger element in its rest position against the force of the first energy store (31).
