Abstract

In a water-closet suite comprising an assembly of a water-closet basin (10) and a close-coupled flushing cistern (26), the cistern is mounted and supported by a bracket component (128) fastened to the back (22) of the basin. The bracket component (128) also locates and holds in position an inlet flush pipe section (131) which conducts flushing water into the basin through a rear inlet aperture (20), this inlet flush pipe section (131) being formed as an integral part of the bracket component (128). The inlet pipe section (131) projects through the inlet aperture (20) and terminates in a spreader (132) which is fitted and located in predetermined position on the forward free end thereof for distributing the flushing water around the rim (11) of the bowl (14) of the basin.
