Abstract

Sanitary fitting comprises an assembly base (2) connected to at least one water supply, and an outer part (3) placed over the assembly base and consisting of a fitting housing and an outlet. Water flows from the assembly base to the outer part via at least one bore (11) in the assembly base. At least one seal (12) prevents the escape of water between the assembly base and the outer part. The bore opens into the casing of the assembly base. The seal surrounds the opening of the bore into the casing and points with its axis in the radial direction. A tensioning device (28, 29) laterally moves the outer part relative to the assembly base so that the seal is compressed between the outer part and the assembly base. Preferred Features: The seal is a stepped annular part with a region of small diameter and a region of greater diameter.
