Abstract
Pref. the sheet cathode is fastened to a coextensive support so that it remains in a fixed posn. Suitably it is 8-10 mils. thick, with strand width about 10 mils. and mesh designation 4/0. (I) may be tri- pr tetra-chloropicolinate anions, esp. 3,4,6-and 3,5,6-trichloro, for redn. to (II) anions. An electrode assembly for commercial cells for (II) comprises a plate-like support having 2 opposed faces, an expanded Ag sheet coextensive with it, current distribution and collection arrangements and fasteners. The support may be of plastics or fibreglass composite board. Connection is with compression bar, Ag bar with Ar rod welded to it.
