Abstract

1. A suspendable shaped running rail for a suspension railway, more particularly a suspended monorail system, having external running surfaces (12) for trolleys or the like (15), the rail being in the form of an elongate hollow member (6) formed with a continuous top slot (8) adapted to receive securing hangers or the like (3), characterized in that the hollow member (6) is T-shaped and comprises a stem or tail part (10) and a flange part (11) forming the running surfaces, the tail part (10) being divided at its end (9) remote from the flange part (11) to bound the slot (8), and the same is flanked by webs (7) which are formed on the rail and which extend into the hollow member (6).
