Abstract

The smoke clearing device (10) comprises a skylight frame (14) arranged in a complementary housing (16) of the roof (12) of a building and which delimits a discharge culvert (18), of the type having at least one opening (20) that is movable w.r.t the skylight frame between closed and opened positions. The device includes at least a windshield (24) that extends vertically upwards beyond an edge of the skylight to upwardly prolong the discharge culvert (18) in its deployed position to enable evacuation of smoke/fumes in windy conditions and independent of the wind direction.
