Abstract

1. Process for placing floor-covering webs (70, 72) comprising an upper side with a pile (14) and a lower side with a first element (50) of a hook and loop fastener (50, 52) provided at least along one longitudinal edge, the second, tape-like element (52) of said fastener being placed against the undersides of two adjacent webs (70, 72) in the region of their longitudinal edges for joining said two webs, wherein the webs (70, 72) with the first hook-and-loop fastener elements (50) are laid out adjacent one another, the touching longitudinal edge regions (76) of two webs (70, 72), beginning at one end thereof, are lifted for a short section at a time and bent upwards and, beginning at said specified end, said second hook-and-loop fastener element (52) is inserted from above into the gap thus opened between said two webs (70, 72) and laid under said webs, whereupon the longitudinal edge regions (76) of said two webs are lowered onto said second hook-and-loop fastener element (52) and joined together via said element.
