Abstract

1. A pressure relief valve on a packaging container, in the form of a compound label closing an opening in the packaging container and comprising a flat, flexible cover foil (16) coated over the entire area of one side with adhesive and a valve strip (14) covering the opening and stuck to the cover foil (16) in the central zone and to which is connected a non-adhesive channel zone bounded by adhesive zones and extending to the outer edge of the cover foil (16), characterised in that, the valve strip (14) extends continuously in one piece covering the channel zone and in two opposite directions up to regions of the outer edge of the cover foil (16) opposite to one another.
