Abstract

Connection between an end (2) of a joint pipe (1) and a connecting pipe (10) of a collecting tank (9) of a heat-exchanger, especially a heating body for a motor vehicle, comprises a peripheral bead (3) on the joint pipe end which receives the connecting pipe and is sealed via a sealing ring (23). The joint pipe end is secured in the connecting pipe by a bayonet catch. Preferred Features: The bayonet catch consists of catch lugs (5) on the joint pipe end, longitudinal grooves in the connecting pipe, and a locking surface (22) on the connecting pipe. The collecting tank and the connecting pipe are made in one piece from a metallic material, especially an aluminum alloy, especially by a deep-drawing process.
