Abstract

A step motor (M) has a shaft (9) in the form of a screw which can rotate in either direction to move a nut (b) along guides (c). The nut is coupled via a shaft (d) to the piston of a master cylinder (MV) whose cylinder (f) is filled with hydraulic fluid. The cylinder is connected by pipes (g) in parallel to cylinders (h) of several slave jacks (VE). Three way electrovalves (i) are mounted in each pipe. An electronic controller (DC) controls the valves independently in sequence in a cycle. Each slave jack has its piston shaft (k) connected to an assembly to be moved. As the motor turns in one direction the fluid is pushed out of the master cylinder to move the slave jack shafts outwards when the respective valves are open. When the motor turns in the other direction fluid may be pushed to the other side of the jack pistons.
