Abstract

A color spectrophotometric system using a xenon flashtube wherein the flashtube is operated under conditions causing electrodes to regenerate rather than deteriorate while in use and wherein the light measurements at various wavelengths are corrected in accordance with two reference measurements to normalize for both intensity variations and spectral shifts of light from the flashtube.
