Abstract

The invention relates to a folding table (2) comprising a tabletop frame (4), a tabletop (8) and at least two leg elements (12). The at least two leg elements (12) are each pivotally attached to the frame (4) by a pivot joint so that the leg elements (12) can be pivoted from a transporting position, which is essentially parallel to the frame (4), and into an standing position, which is essentially perpendicular to the frame (4). The inventive table is characterized in that at least one pivotal lock (20, 20') is fastened to each of the leg elements (12) and displaceably attached wedges (22, 22') are mounted on the frame (4). Said wedges (22, 22') are mounted in such a manner that each of the wedges (22, 22') engages with one of the pivotal locks (20, 20') when the legs are in an standing position thereby securing the assigned leg element (12) in the standing position.
