Abstract

A set of gas bottles (1 to 4) housed vertically inside a holder uses a clearance space above their taps so that a system of valves (6) and distribution tubes (7,8) is housed without projecting above the holder. The rounded tops of the cylinders are covered with an insulating material which matches their shape, and which acts as a protection against fire. The insulating material can be formed by blocks (5) shaped give a flat top surface or as layers (11) coating the curved tops. In the event of a fire, the heat causes the material to expand.
