Abstract

1. A folding door (1) for a shower cabin in which two door portions (14, 15) are positively coupled together by way of a transmission means and in the region of the transmission means are connected to a guide member (20) which is guided slidably on a horizontal guide rail (18) characterised by the following features : a) the guide member (20) completely embraces the guide rail (18), b) the guide member (20) is in the form of a mounting housing for the transmission means, c) the transmission means comprises gears (19) which mesh with each other and which are non-rotatably connected to vertical frame members (16, 17) of the door portions (14, 15), and d) the transmission means is arranged at the underside of the guide member (20) and centrally with respect to the longitudinal axis thereof.
