Abstract

An ink cartridgeis provided comprising: a case provided with an ink chamber configured to store ink therein, the ink cartridge configured to supply the ink stored in the ink chamber to an ink jet recording apparatus when the ink cartridge is installed in the ink jet recording apparatus, the case including: an end surface serving as a side surface when the ink cartridge is in an installation posture where the ink cartridge is installed in the ink jet recording apparatus, the end surface including: an ink supply part configured to supply the ink in the ink chamber to the ink jet recording apparatus; and a first projection projecting outwardly from the end surface, and wherein , when the ink cartridge is in the installation posture, at least a part of the first projection is disposed on a line vertically passing through a center of an opening of the ink supply part.
