Abstract

Table comprising a fixed tabletop (10) and at least an extension (20). The extension is capable of being brought from a retracted, i.e. resting position thereof under the fixed tabletop to an extended, i.e. operative position thereof, in which it is raised and joined flush to a side of the fixed tabletop so as to increase the available surface area of the table. To this purpose, the table includes a bracket (30) and a connecting rod (40) provided between said bracket and the extension. To protract the extension, the latter is caused to rotate by 180° with the bracket about a vertical axis and, then, with the connecting rod about at least a second horizontal axis that is spaced from said vertical axis.
