Abstract

1. Method for spreading surfacings of mastic asphalt, the mastic asphalt being continuously produced with a flat surface in a path of determined width, a granulated material like crushed stone or sand is spread on the still soft mastic asphalt and the latter is rolled in at the same time on the whole width of the surfacing by means of a roll in device with levelling rollers held at a determined distance above the surface of mastic asphalt and adjusted to a determined distance from the working place by means of the production device, the particles of the granulated material still weakly projecting from the surfacing after the roll in, characterized in that the granulated material is rolled in by means of a plurality of levelling rollers located along the width of the path, the distance of which above the surface of mastic asphalt is adjusted at many places distributed along the width of the path by the adjustment of their suspension at a rigid support located above and which are adjusted at a selected, adjustable distance from the working place as a function of the temperature of the mastic asphalt.
