Abstract
Method for improving the resolution of the imprint by an ink jet on polymer films having a polymer base, comprises mixing the polymer base with a copolymer additive comprising polymer groups (I) and (II), where (I) has a surface tension less than that of the polymer base and (II) is compatible with the polymer base. Independent claims are included for: (1) a calendered polymer film obtained by the process; (2) an ink jet imprinted polymer film and a polymer composition comprise the polymer base and the copolymer additive; (3) a process of imprinting the polymer film by the ink jet comprising casting the ink on the polymer film; and (4) a system for imprinting the polymer film by the ink jet.
