Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trocar seal assembly with little friction, by which rupturing and tearing do not occur when a surgical instrument is inserted or pulled-out. <P>SOLUTION: A seal assembly is applicable in usage as the trocar assembly, including a seal main body for selectively inserting/pulling-out the instrument. The seal main body comprises a plurality of superimposed seal segments, and each seal segment comprises an outer peripheral edge by extending a center seal member. The center seal member comprises a free edge separated from the outer peripheral edge.
