Abstract

1. Method of identifying an alarm-triggering sensor in a danger-signalling device having several annunciation circuits (ML) connected to a control centre (Z), having several sensors (M) in each case, which are connected to each individual annunciator circuit (ML) and each have an adjustable coder (COD), and having a decoder in an evaluaction device (AWE) which is arranged in the control centre (Z), an alarm-triggering sensor (M) causing a change in voltage of the line voltage (U), and the control centre detecting an alarm annunciation of the annunciator circuit (ML) concerned and sending to the annunciator circuit (ML) a signal which causes the coder (COD) of the alarm-triggering sensor (M) to transmit the preset annunciator coding to the control centre (Z) by means of binary coded pulses (IP), the binary coded pulses (IP) being decoded, and the alarm-triggering sensor being displayed (ANZ) in the evaluation device (AWE), characterised in that in the case of an alarm in the control centre (Z) the line current (I) of the annunciator circuit (ML) is increased from a closed-circuit current limiting value (IRG) to an alarm current limiting value (IAL), and in that a response threshold (IS) of a current limiting circuit (MSB) arranged in the sensor (M) is thereby overshot, and the coder (COD) is triggered.
