Abstract

1. Apparatus for the heat-shrinking of a film round an article to be packed, with a rectangular shrink frame (1), which surrounds the article and is movable along it, with gas burners (4) arranged peripherally on the inernal sides thereof and with air nozzles (10) associated with said gas burners (4) for deflecting ther heating gases and air streams toward the film-covered faces of the article, wherein at least individual sides (2) of the shrink frame equipped with the gas burners (4) and air nozzles (10) are arranged movably and adjustably in the plane of the shrink frame (1) such that the distance between the heating gases and the article is adjustable, characterized in that each side (2) of the shrink frame comprises a gas burner tube (3) equipped with rows of nozzle-shaped gas jets (4), the end regions of said gas burner (3) consisting of chamber (A, B) for the hot gases which can be connected and disconnected progressively.
