Abstract

1. A connector adaptable to one end of a coaxial cable (1) including an outer conductor (2) covered with an insulating sheath (3) and separated from an axial conductor (4) by a dielectric (5), said connector being of the type comprising a cylindrical conductive sleeve (6) with an intermediate portion (12) extending between a front shoulder (7) facing outwards and a rear portion (8) to be inserted in the end of the cable (1) into one face of the outer conductor (2) ; a lock nut (9) having a flange (10) retainable by the fornt shoulder (7) ; and a cylindrical collar (11) to be crimped over the sheath (3) for holding the sleeve (6), after the rear portion (8) is inserted in the end of the cable (1) ; characterized in that the intermediate portion (12) bears an outer flange (13) at its rear end adjacent to the rear portion (8) of the sleeve (6) and is of such a length that, when the lock nut (9) is abutting against the outer flange (13), its front end projects at post into or substantially into the plane of the front end of the sleeve (6).
