Abstract

1. Hand operated cutting knife comprising a circular cutting disc (6) which is rotably mounted on a shaft (7) provided on a knife holder (15) and is provided with a protective cover (1) pivotable around the shaft, the cutting disc being partly covered by the through shaped end (4) of the knife holder (15), characterized in that the protective cover (1) is also of through shape construction and has a circumferential web (2), which is guided along a circumferential web (3) of the trough shaped end (4) of the knife holer (5), that the protective cover (1), the cutting disc (6) and the shaft (7) are provided on the knife holder (5) so as to be detachable from and mountable to the knife holder (5) and that the protective cover (1) is provided with an adjusting handle.
