Abstract

A device for adjusting gram force applied to a thread in knitting machines, comprising a control unit that is adapted to drive a power supply device of a motor (4) for unwinding a thread to be fed to the knitting machine (7), a gram force sensor (6) adapted to detect the gram force applied to the thread and to emit a gram force signal, a comparator (9) adapted to compare the gram force signal (8) with a reference signal (10) in order to obtain a gram force error signal; the control unit comprises elements adapted to emit a signal for driving the power supply device of the motor according to the gram force error signal of the thread and to a signal that is the derivative with respect to time of the gram force signal emitted by the gram force sensor (6). <IMAGE>
