Abstract
1. Method for measuring the relative humidity of air using a metal mirror or another reflecting component, cooled by a Peltier element down to a temperature below the dew point and thereby showing a mist, where the reflection of a path of rays coming from a light source is measured by a sensor, characterized in that the demisting time, viz. from the formation up to the entire disappearance of the mist on the metal mirror or other reflecting component, is compared, as an indirect but proportional measured value for the actual humidity of air, with the normal duration of the demisting process at a desired preset relative humidity of air, and further that a control signal for controlling and closing any fans and/or heaters is released by the time difference thus determined.
