Abstract

1. A suspension system for wall panels (6) and comprising, adapted to be mounted on a wall, a transverse strip (1) or the like and, suspended therein, hooks (2) of which the bottom end (5) engages around the wall panels (6), each hook having, on the middle piece (8) of the hook which rests on the walls panels (6) at an upper suspension and (4) which is on the same side as the transverse strip, at least one projection (15) which extends transversely to its longitudinal direction and engages under a longitudinal surface (22) or edge of the transverse strip (1) or the like, characterised in that the hook (2) is made from wire-like material and in that the free arm (21) of the upper suspension end (4) is substantially U-shaped (19) to form the projection (15) and is disposed laterally in a plane extending transversely to the central plane (13) through the hook defined by the bottom end of the hook and the middle portion of the hook, the two ends of the arms of the U of the projection (15) being substantially of the same height, and in that the projection (15) engages with a minimal clearance between two surfaces or edges (10, 11) of the transverse strip (1) or the like which extend transversely to the central plane (13) of the hook.
