Abstract
The device has a controllable damping unit (3) for changing acceleration acting on a lift car floor (2) of a transportation unit e.g. building lift. A control unit controls the damping unit based on an operating condition of the transportation unit. The damping unit comprises an active processing device to compensate acceleration values. A measuring device determines a change of loading of the transportation unit and a signal that characterizes the operating condition. The damping unit has a damping element (4) that is provided with fluid in pipes, which communicates with each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for compensation of an acceleration value of a loadable lift car floor of a transportation unit.
