Abstract

1. A gas-tight beverage container for receiving CO2 -containing beverages and made of a flexible laminated plastics foil having a liquid-tight inner layer of weldable plastics and an intermediate layer impervious to the passage of aroma substances, the foil having a tubular central part with a longitudinal seam, the central part having end parts which close both the end faces of the foil and have peripheral edge flanges welded to the edges of the central part by means of shear-stressed weld seams, characterised in that the longitudinal seam (12; 22) of the central part (11; 21) is also in the form of a shear-stressed overlapping seam and the end members (13, 13'; 23, 23') have their edge flanges (15, 15'; 25, 25') so welded to the interior of the container as to be directed into the central part (11, 21).
