Abstract

There is provided a method of decorating a part of a vehicle, comprising (i) printing an ink composition onto a major surface of a transparent thermoformable polymeric sheet to obtain a printed sheet and: (ii) providing a mold having the shape and size of the part to be decorated; (iii) heating the printed sheet; (iv) pressing the mold against the printed sheet and applying vacuum thereto to allow the printed sheet to wrap around the mold; (v) removing the printed sheet from the mold; and (vi) mounting the printed and formed sheet on the part of said vehicle such that the printed ink composition faces the part of the vehicle that is being decorated; or alternatively : (ii) providing a part to be decorated; (iii) heating the printed sheet; and (iv) pressing the part against the printed side of the printed sheet and applying vacuum thereto to allow the printed sheet to wrap around the part.
