Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a semifinished material to be used for manufacturing leather- like and coated fabric items obtained by depositing at least one layer of a liquid coagulating mixture comprising a polycarbonate-based polyurethane, an organic solvent, and optionally water on a woven or non-woven substrate, and coagulating it and a semifinished product that can be obtained by means of said Process. Particularly, this invention relates to a Process allowing to obtain a semifinished product provided with excellent tactile, visual, and mechanical characteristics suitable to make it advantageously exploitable in a number of fields of leather-like or coated fabric items such as, for example, manufacturing field, shoes, bags, belts, clothing, furnishing, industrial sector, automotive sector, sanitary coverings.
