Abstract

The seat is of a standard design and swivel mounted (10) with the matching lid (11) to a base (1) in order to provide a raised position for a disabled person. The base (1) is made in the shape of a horse-shoe and has a u-shaped cross-section for being placed on top of the rim of the toilet bowl with the inner and the outer wall (4, 13) covering the holding arrangement and two folding handles (9). Several bridges serving as carrying elements are inserted between the outer (4) and the inner wall, engaging with matching bearings with lateral extensions located at both ends.
