Abstract

1. Barbed strip of sheet steel consisting of a strip portion (1) extending lengthwise and of barb members (3, 4; 5, 6; 7, 8) which are integral with said strip portion, disposed with spacing one behind the other and projecting laterally from the strip portion, and which have the basic shape of very slender substantially isosceles triangles which, in oder to form long free barb tips, are bounded by an external longitudinal base edge (9) of comparatively great length and, with very small base angles, by side edges (10) which merely close to their imaginary internal point of intersection merge into a connecting portion (11), characterised in that the barbed strip consists of unalloyed sheet steel in a manner known per se and the barb members (3, 4; 5, 6, 7, 8) are provided with at least one corrugation (12; 13; 14) stiffening the free barb tips.
