Abstract

1. A horizontal axis cylindrical rotary pulverizer (1) for preparing pulverized material having two different degrees of fineness, said pulverizer including members in its stub axles (3) for inserting material and a drying gas and for removing pulverized material in the drying gas, said pulverizer being subdivided by a transverse partition (2) into two portions (G, D) which are isolated from each other, each portion including its own members for inserting (4, 5A) and removing (6) material and drying gas via the respective adjacent stub axle, characterized in that the outlet from each of said portions is connected to a separator (7, 11) for separating crushed grains according to their fineness, said separator being provided with a recycling duct (9A, 12), and that the separator (7) connected to the portion (G) of the pulverizer which yields the finer grains is provided with a duct (8) for conveying the larger grains to the feed duct (15) of the portion (D) of the pulverizer for yielding less finely pulverized material.
