Abstract

Apparatus for transferring a web strip within a web treatment machine into a rope cutter (26) outside the travel path of the web comprises a suction head (32) and a guide (34) for moving the suction head so that the strip grasped by the suction head is moved away from the travel path and into the cutter. An independent claim is also included for a web treatment machine comprising transfer apparatus as above.
