Abstract

The centrifuge has a separation disc stack (2) with stacked separator discs (7) arranged in a spinning drum, where the discs are axially spaced from each other by spacers such that a disc gap is formed between the discs. The discs are provided with dormers (11) over an axial area of the stack, where the dormers are provided with openings (12) for interspersing the discs. The dormers and the openings form flow channels (13) in the stack. The dormers are formed as characteristics that are upwardly brought into the discs and project into the disc gap.
