Abstract

The invention relates to a monohull sailboat comprising: a mast (3) which is supported by shrouds (4) and which bears the sails and the rigging; a hull (1) having a deckhouse (2) mounted thereon, said two elements (1, 2) forming a monohull assembly; and one (two) ballast(s) (6) which is fixed to the end of one (two) keel(s) (5) in order to stabilise the sailboat with a suitable lever arm. The invention is characterised in that the mast (3), the shrouds (4) and the ballast(s) (6) are fixed to a rotatably-mounted ring (7) outside the assembly comprising the hull (1) and the deckhouse (2) by means of friction-limiting members, such as anti-friction or friction bearings (8), with no turbulence being generated in the water.
