Abstract

The device (1) has two outputs (S1, S2) connected to an external power supply circuit (2) of a bulb and an electromagnetic ballast (4). An internal power supply circuit (3) connects a phase input (E1) to one of the outputs and a neutral input (E2) to the other output, and includes a controlled switch (5) formed by a triode (T) for alternating current, whose gate (6) is directly connected to the phase input. An electronic control unit (U) controls the switch and modulates power available at the outputs to modulate luminous power of the bulb.
