Abstract

1. Apparatus for producing foam from liquid and gaseous components, such as water, air and foaming agents, as well as optionally active substances with an elongated, tubular foam generator (16, 16a) with an inlet chamber (39), at least one foam generating device (38) and an outlet (44) ; supply means (18, 19, 20) for supplying the components to the inlet chamber (39) ; and an outlet section (45), which terminates in at least one outlet port (17) and is connected to outlet (44), the foam generator (16, 16a) having several foam generating chambers (38, 39, 40) arranged successively in the flow direction (57), whose separating elements (37, 37a, 37b, 59) define numerous foam-generating openings (56), characterized in that the area and/or number of the openings (56) increase in the flow direction (57).
