Abstract

The invention relates to a device for removing and stretching multifilament threads in a melt spinning process, wherein at least two galettes, arranged at a distance from each other, having rotary guide casings and a heating means arranged between the galettes, are provided. The threads are guided by one or more loops at the guide casings of the galettes and heated by the heating means in the thread pieces thereof tensioned between the galettes. In order to achieve energy transmission that is largely unaffected by the environment, the heating means is formed, according to the invention, by a plurality of infrared radiation bodies arranged next to each other, which extend substantially parallel to the guide casings of the galettes and which are arranged between the guide casings of the galettes in the free space delimited by the tensioned thread pieces.
